Janashakthi Group (JXG), a prominent financial conglomerate in Sri Lanka, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first financial entity in the country to be recognized in an official TikTok for Business Case Study. This accolade underscores the success of the Group’s “Who is JXG?” campaign, which was an integrated marketing initiative that utilized diverse communication channels, emphasizing digital platforms to enhance visibility, foster engagement, and achieve tangible results ahead of its Initial Public Offering (IPO).
The acknowledgment was awarded by Aleph, the authorized sales partner for TikTok in Sri Lanka. Aleph is a renowned global provider of digital advertising solutions, facilitating connections between major digital platforms and advertisers across the globe.
The case study illustrates how JXG harnessed TikTok’s advertising capabilities as part of its comprehensive marketing strategy to present itself as a cohesive corporate entity, while simultaneously raising awareness and understanding of the Group in anticipation of its LKR 5 billion IPO.
Central to the campaign was the question, “Who is JXG?” which was approached through a multi-channel strategy focused on targeted digital engagement. TikTok significantly contributed to expanding the campaign’s reach and engaging audiences through content formats tailored for the platform. The digital strategy unfolded in two phases: the first aimed at maximizing reach and retention of the message through six-second video campaigns, thereby creating widespread awareness of the IPO. The second phase utilized Smart Traffic optimization to guide interested audiences to the IPO landing page, transitioning them from awareness to consideration.
The campaign resulted in over 4.76 million video views and more than 5 million impressions, achieving a reach penetration of 43.5% among a potential audience exceeding 4.6 million users within the Financial Services sector. The Smart Traffic optimization initiative effectively converted initial awareness into consideration, leading to over 255,000 clicks directed to the IPO landing page, alongside more than 200,000 interactive impressions that further engaged the audience.
In response to this recognition, Gamika de Silva, Group Chief Marketing Officer of JXG, remarked, “Being included in an official TikTok for Business Case Study is a significant acknowledgment of JXG’s dedication to innovation, creativity, and marketing excellence. The ‘Who is JXG?’ campaign was crafted as a holistic brand-building effort to introduce our corporate identity and forge meaningful connections with our audience. Digital platforms, particularly TikTok, have been instrumental in amplifying our message, allowing us to engage with audiences at scale and achieve measurable outcomes during a crucial phase of our growth.”
This recognition further demonstrates JXG’s commitment to adopting innovative communication methods and global best practices to enhance brand relevance in a rapidly changing financial environment. Guided by its mission of “Breaking Barriers, Forging Futures,” JXG continues to explore new platforms, insights, and concepts to deepen its engagement with Sri Lankan audiences and influence the future of financial services in the nation.
