Lanka Aluminium Industries PLC, a leader in aluminium extrusion in Sri Lanka, recently hosted a comprehensive factory tour at its facility in Ekala, Ja-Ela, in partnership with the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA). This event was part of the “Specification Writing for Architects” initiative led by Ms. Dilumini De Mel, the President of SLIA, who participated in the tour along with several senior architects.
The company plans to continue organizing similar events aimed at enhancing the understanding of aluminium extrusion products and solutions among government entities, complementing various other programs already in place.
Dinal Peiris, the Chairman of Lanka Aluminium Industries PLC, emphasized the importance of their in-house expertise in assisting architects and consultants in selecting the right systems for their projects. He noted, “Choosing the correct specifications is crucial for the success of any installation, ensuring both optimum performance and cost-effectiveness. An over-specified window system can lead to unnecessary expenses, while an under-specified option may compromise performance.”
As the first aluminium extrusion company in Sri Lanka, Lanka Aluminium Industries PLC is a publicly traded, BOI-approved firm that specializes in producing high-quality aluminium extrusions for various sectors, including architecture, hardware, transportation, and specialized applications. With over four decades of experience, the company has been delivering top-notch aluminium solutions for buildings and high-rise structures, some of which have garnered international recognition. Renowned for its innovation and design, the company manufactures products that comply with British and other global standards, while consistently adapting to the latest industry developments.
