LAUGFS Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Dhanusha Muthukumarana to the positions of Group Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Mr. Muthukumarana comes with a robust background in engineering, technology, and leadership, along with substantial entrepreneurial experience. With over 26 years in sectors including banking and finance, consumer goods, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, enterprise software, and technology consulting, Mr. Muthukumarana is a distinguished professional. He has served in senior leadership roles within both local and international organizations, including several Fortune 500 companies. His expertise encompasses business transformation, enterprise architecture, strategic planning, and innovation.
During his career, he has successfully spearheaded complex transformation projects, optimized business operations, and aligned technology initiatives with corporate strategies. Mr. Muthukumarana’s blend of strategic insight, commercial acumen, and technological leadership will be crucial for LAUGFS as the company aims for operational excellence and long-term value generation.

Mr. Muthukumarana is an alumnus of the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School), where he focused on Strategic Innovation and achieved top rankings in his class. He holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and has additional qualifications in Information Technology. Currently, he is furthering his studies in Economics.
He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in the USA (MIEEE), the Institute of Engineering and Technology in the UK (MIET), and the British Computer Society (MBCS). In 2019, he was recognized by Echelon magazine as one of Sri Lanka’s Top 100 Next-Generation Business Leaders (NE100) and became the first Sri Lankan member of the Forbes Technology Council.
