LB Finance Enhances Infrastructure with Huawei Partnership, Ushering in Advanced Digital Solutions for Sri Lanka

LB Finance PLC has successfully completed a comprehensive enhancement of its network infrastructure at its headquarters and branches throughout the country, significantly improving reliability, speed, and security. This initiative was executed in partnership with Huawei.

According to Mr. Nirsohan Udage, the Managing Director of LB Finance PLC, “This modernization tackles the issues associated with outdated systems and the increasing demand for digital financial services. The upgraded infrastructure enables LB Finance to provide faster and more secure services, while also establishing a platform for future innovations, such as cloud-based applications and AI-driven technologies.”

The upgrades included improved connectivity between the main office and branches, enhanced wireless access, a restructured backbone/core network, and upgraded backup systems to protect sensitive data. These enhancements translate to more dependable services, smoother transactions, and greater assurance regarding the security of customers’ financial information.

Mr. Zhang Jinze, CEO of Huawei Sri Lanka, remarked, “We take pride in collaborating with LB Finance on this initiative. Together, we have developed a network that facilitates quicker and safer services while embracing technologies like AI and cloud computing. Modern and reliable infrastructure is crucial for financial institutions to meet the demands of today’s digital landscape. This partnership demonstrates how local leadership can merge with global expertise to foster innovation, enhance efficiency, and bolster Sri Lanka’s digital economy.”

This project is also in line with Huawei’s recent announcements made at MWC Barcelona 2026, where the company introduced advancements in Banking AI and Foundation Model Solutions, including SuperPoD, AI Data Platform, and Xinghe AI Network, which provide the necessary groundwork for scalable and robust networks like the one now in place at LB Finance.
