Sri Lankan entrepreneur Denham Marlon Ferreira has been recognized as a finalist for the prestigious 2026 Great British Entrepreneur Awards (Allica Bank) in the UK, competing in the esteemed Global Entrepreneur of the Year category. Often referred to as the “Grammys of Entrepreneurship,” these awards celebrate exceptional business leaders who exemplify innovation, resilience, leadership, and ambition while making a significant economic and social impact. This year, the awards received over 5,000 submissions from across the UK, with only a select few businesses and entrepreneurs making it to the national shortlist. The finalists collectively account for £3.3 billion in revenue and support more than 17,700 jobs.
Ferreira boasts over thirty years of entrepreneurial experience. He is the founder and Managing Director of Sentario UK Limited, as well as the founder of Exterminators PLC, recognized as Asia’s first publicly traded pest management company. Since relocating to the UK in 2023, Ferreira has concentrated on creating innovative solutions that integrate artificial intelligence, environmental intelligence, predictive analytics, and sustainability. Notable innovations developed under his leadership include MACCP X™, an AI-driven Mosquito Intelligence Platform; PACCP X™, an AI-enhanced Seven Force Model for proactive pest management; and AI Report Factory™, an automated reporting and business intelligence system. Ferreira recently completed the Artificial Intelligence Programme at the University of Oxford (Saïd) and has participated in executive education programs at the University of Oxford, Harvard University, and the National University of Singapore.
