Nations Trust Bank PLC has officially announced the selection of Ananda Jayawardana to join its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Ananda Jayawardana is a highly experienced finance expert, bringing over 25 years of global experience in areas such as Leveraged & Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Corporate Banking. His vast knowledge encompasses the structuring and implementation of intricate cross-border financing solutions throughout Asia, collaborating with export credit agencies, multilateral organizations, and major financial institutions worldwide.
Throughout his impressive career, he has occupied various senior leadership roles, including Head of Structured Export Finance for ASEAN and South Asia, as well as Executive Director of Leveraged and Structured Solutions at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. Additionally, he served as Executive Director of Primary Debt Markets at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Hong Kong, and held the position of Director for Structured Lending in the Asia Pacific region, also based in Hong Kong. Earlier in his career, he worked as Assistant Vice President and Team Head for Corporate Banking at ABN AMRO Bank in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Jayawardana is a graduate of Georgia State University in the USA, where he earned his MBA in Corporate Finance, and holds a BBA in Economics from Georgia College, also in the USA. He has participated in various executive education and professional development programs, including the Aspiring Directors Programme at INSEAD.
