Renowned Chocolatier Chef Aravinda Leelarathna Shines at Hilton Colombo Event

Hilton Colombo is currently showcasing the talents of the Middle Eastern World Chocolate Master, Chef Aravinda Leelarathna, with a unique month-long event titled ‘Chocolate Express.’ This celebration of exquisite chocolate creations is taking place until February 15, 2026, at L.A.B and Café Kai. Here, Chef Aravinda’s culinary artistry is displayed through specially crafted menus and engaging workshops led by the renowned chocolatier.

At L.A.B, Chef Aravinda offers a fresh take on afternoon high tea, focusing on chocolate-infused delicacies. The Chocolate Express high tea buffet is available every Thursday and Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, featuring a mix of classic favorites and novel cocoa creations at a cost of Rs. 5,988 nett per person. Additionally, guests can enjoy a sophisticated high tea platter for two, priced at Rs. 8,888 nett, available daily, which highlights the chef’s skillful approach to flavor and presentation.

Café Kai extends the chocolate experience with a selection of handcrafted cakes, mini dessert jars, chocolate treats, beverages, and an ice cream cart featuring unique chocolate flavors.

Chef Aravinda’s expertise is further showcased through two exclusive workshops as part of the Chocolate Express lineup. The ‘Inside the Cocoa L.A.B’ workshop on January 29, 2026, starting at 3:00 pm, offers a personal live chocolate demonstration focusing on tempering techniques, guided tastings, and an exclusive high tea experience at Graze Kitchen. The session is priced at Rs. 8,888 nett per person.

Young chocolate enthusiasts are invited to join the ‘Little Chocolatiers’ Workshop’ on February 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This interactive session is designed for children aged 6 to 16, introducing them to fundamental chocolate-making skills through hands-on activities and tastings, priced at Rs. 6,388 nett per child.
