Retail IT (Pvt) Ltd, a prominent provider of retail technology solutions in Sri Lanka, recently organized an event titled “Retail Industry: Technology Trends 2026 – The Enterprise Experience” at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo. This event marked the unveiling of their 2026 roadmap aimed at transforming enterprise retail operations. The forum addressed the necessity for retailers and large organizations to adapt to increasing operational complexities, integration demands, and security expectations.

The gathering attracted retail business owners, operations directors, and senior decision-makers from various sectors across Sri Lanka. The program highlighted practical applications of enterprise technology, featuring live demonstrations of integrated ERP platforms, advanced POS systems, loyalty programs, and intelligent security solutions. These demonstrations illustrated how these technologies can collectively enhance efficiency, visibility, and scalability in complex retail environments.

A key moment of the evening was the Sri Lankan debut of Adler ERP, an integrated enterprise business management platform. Practical use cases were presented to demonstrate how retail operations, data management, and customer management can operate as a cohesive ecosystem. Additionally, Ms. Kelly Lee of Posiflex Taiwan showcased the latest retail-specific devices, including POS and kitchen display units.

Chandima Wickramatunge, CEO of the IT Cluster for the Sumathi Group, stated, “From ERP systems and POS platforms to digital payments and analytics, the retail ecosystem is converging into a single enterprise experience. Retailers need to rely on not many, but ideally, one partner to deliver the best support.”

The event also featured expert-led discussions and solution walkthroughs that tackled the current challenges facing retail and enterprise leaders, such as system integration, data-driven decision-making, and operational resilience. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with the technologies on display, linking strategic vision with practical execution.

Retail IT’s enterprise showcase was supported by the technology and infrastructure expertise of Sumathi Information Technologies (Sumathi IT), the group’s specialized systems integrator.
