FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sampath Bank, a financial institution in Sri Lanka, has introduced a novel platform called Sampath Book Finder at the Colombo International Book Fair. This initiative enables attendees to locate specific books among the more than 150 vendor stalls present at the event.
Sampath Book Finder is Sri Lanka’s inaugural community-driven book discovery tool. It invites readers to contribute by suggesting titles they come across, along with details such as the publisher, hall, and stall number.
Milinda Weerasinghe, the Chief Marketing Officer of Sampath Bank PLC, stated that the platform harnesses the collective expertise of readers to provide a dynamic digital resource. This empowers individuals to not only find their desired books but also to uncover new titles and assist others in their search.
For those struggling to find a specific book, visitors can either visit bookfairtracker.com or scan a QR code to submit a request to the community. This feature allows users who have already discovered the book’s location to assist others, eliminating the need for extensive searching through multiple stalls.
Additionally, SampathCards offers attractive benefits for Sampath GPay users, including a 25 percent cashback on purchases and a three-month 0% installment plan for book acquisitions at the fair.
The Colombo International Book Fair, hosted by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association, is taking place at the BMICH and will run until October 4, operating daily from 9 am to 9 pm. (Colombo/Oct2/2026)
