FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Singer (Sri Lanka) has finalized a sale agreement with ACME Printing and Packaging for the acquisition of its Piliyandala factory, valued at 630 million rupees. This transaction is part of the company’s broader restructuring efforts and aims to facilitate the expansion of its facilities in Pannala, according to a disclosure made by ACME.
The factory is located at 345, Gonamadiththa Road, Piliyandala. Following this announcement, ACME Printing and Packaging’s shares experienced a rise, trading at Rs.6.20, which reflects an increase of 3.33 percent. In contrast, Singer’s stock also saw an uptick, gaining 60 cents to reach a price of 87.50 rupees.
Singer is a member of the diversified Hayleys Group. The company reported a significant profit increase of 47 percent, reaching 2.1 billion rupees for the December quarter of 2025, largely driven by sales in home appliances and financial services, as indicated in its earnings report.
