In a strategic initiative to shape the digital future of Sri Lanka, SLT-MOBITEL has formed a partnership with MegaPay (Pay&Go) to enhance its value proposition nationwide. This collaboration aims to empower Sri Lankans to connect to the digital world through the eSIM onboarding service.

This joint effort allows Sri Lankans, both in urban and rural regions, to instantly connect via Mobitel’s next-generation eSIM connectivity, now accessible through more than 1,000 Pay&Go kiosks across the country, as well as through the Pay&Go App and online services.

The partnership bolsters SLT-MOBITEL’s mission to provide seamless digital experiences, simplify digital access, and expand customer reach. With the Pay&Go ecosystem’s extensive network and 24/7 accessibility, Sri Lankan mobile consumers can quickly onboard to Mobitel’s eSIM service and enjoy exclusive offers anytime, anywhere.

This collaboration underscores SLT-MOBITEL’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation throughout the country. Present at the occasion were senior representatives from MegaPay, including Vardan Aslibekyan, General Director; Gayan Chandrarathne, Head of Operations and Customer Support; and Denver Fernando, Head of Business Development. Key personnel from Mobitel in attendance included Sudharshana Geeganage, Chief Operating Officer; Rukshan De Silva, General Manager, New Market Development; and Melan Wijesekara Arachchige, Assistant Manager, New Market Development.

Through this collaboration, customers using Pay&Go services can make utility bill payments and access other services to obtain Mobitel eSIM connections by scanning QR codes available at over 1,000 Pay&Go kiosks located in high-density areas. This service is also available via the Pay&Go mobile app and website, catering to a monthly user base exceeding 600,000. The service ensures uninterrupted connectivity for all users, both local and overseas, 24/7, year-round.

As a key player in shaping Sri Lanka’s digital future, SLT-MOBITEL continues to expand its reach through strategic partnerships, bridging technology with everyday life. With the evolution of Sri Lanka’s eSIM market, this launch positions SLT-MOBITEL to lead in delivering future-ready mobile experiences.

Since 2015, SLT-MOBITEL and MegaPay have successfully collaborated on bill payments and reload services. This new phase of partnership builds on that foundation, offering even greater value and reach. Customers now have the convenience of connecting to the Mobitel eSIM service through MegaPay’s expansive network of over 1,000 kiosks in high-traffic locations, along with a combined monthly user base of over 600,000 across web, mobile, and kiosk platforms. This unparalleled access provides SLT-MOBITEL with a clear pathway to engage digitally with consumers.
