FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has announced the upcoming National SME Forum 2026, titled Scale Up 2.0, designed to connect Sri Lanka’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with essential stakeholders and resources to help them navigate growth challenges.
The forum aims to equip SMEs with the tools needed to tackle issues related to market access, financial acquisition, adapting to changing business landscapes, and integrating into both local and international value chains.
“This forum will provide SMEs with the opportunity to engage directly with buyers, financial institutions, policymakers, and organizations that offer business support. This interaction will help them uncover new opportunities, access necessary resources, and establish vital connections that are essential for enhancing their operations and expanding their businesses,” stated a chamber representative.
The event is set to gather various stakeholders, including policymakers, business leaders, financial organizations, development partners, and SMEs themselves. It will feature a plenary session focused on national priorities for the development of SMEs, followed by three technical discussions that will delve into topics such as market access and value chain integration, standards and certification, and methods for scaling mid-sized enterprises through better investment readiness and financial accessibility.
Additionally, the forum will host a B2B networking segment, allowing businesses to initiate conversations, explore potential partnerships, identify financing opportunities, and access support services tailored to help them overcome growth obstacles.
The National SME Forum 2026 will take place on August 11 at the Taj Samudra in Colombo, under the theme “Connected, Competitive, Ready to Grow.” Registrations are currently open. For further details and to register, please visit this link or contact Nirosha at 0115588879 or Ravi at 0115588807.
