The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced that the country’s tourism revenue for the first four months of 2026 reached $1.11 billion. This figure indicates a significant decrease of 19.4% when compared to the $1.37 billion earned during the same timeframe in 2025.
In terms of monthly performance, tourism earnings for April 2026 were noted at $157.1 million, a sharp decline from the $256.7 million reported in April 2025.
