Sri Lanka hikes diesel, premium fuel from January 2026

Sri Lanka’s state-operated Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has announced an increase in fuel prices, effective from midnight on January 5. The price adjustment affects all fuel types except Petrol Octane 92, which will remain at 292 rupees per liter.

The price of Octane 95 has been increased to 340 rupees from 355 rupees. Auto Diesel now costs 279 rupees per liter, up from 277 rupees. The price of Super Diesel has risen to 323 rupees from 318 rupees, and Kerosene has been adjusted to 182 rupees from 180 rupees.
