With a legacy spanning over 60 years and backed by the government, SLICGL offers a reliable service coupled with a contemporary digital interface.
The SLICGL Digital App empowers customers to manage their motor insurance effortlessly. Users can conveniently access policy information, monitor claim statuses, renew their policies, and view their motor insurance cards, all through a unified mobile application. Additionally, the app facilitates the download of digital insurance cards, adhering to the new regulations established by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), which will come into effect on May 1, 2026.
This initiative is a key component of SLICGL’s digital transformation strategy aimed at providing quicker, more efficient, and user-friendly insurance solutions. By streamlining interactions and allowing users to access services at their convenience, the SLIC Digital App removes the necessity of contacting a call center. It addresses common misconceptions regarding the complexity and time consumption often associated with insurance services. As a result, SLICGL positions itself as a modern, tech-savvy insurer, catering to vehicle owners, young professionals, and tech-oriented consumers.
