FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka successfully issued bonds worth 5 billion rupees through its ongoing tap offer, achieving average rates established during an auction held the previous week. This latest transaction brings the total bond sales for the week to 55 billion rupees, according to information from the Public Debt Management Office.
The bond issuance aimed to raise 50 billion rupees. Among the sold instruments was a bond maturing on August 1, 2030 (LKB00530H016), which was offered at a weighted average yield of 10.54 percent. Additionally, a bond with a maturity date of March 15, 2035 (LKB02035C155) was sold at a weighted average yield of 11.70 percent.
The overall market subscription for these bonds reached 14.5 billion rupees.
For more details, Sri Lanka conducted the sale of 50 billion rupees in bonds for the 2030 and 2035 maturities last Tuesday.
