FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka successfully issued bonds worth 6 billion rupees this week through a tap sale, achieving average rates determined during an auction. This brings the total bond sales for the week to 66 billion rupees, according to the latest figures from the Public Debt Management Office.
The bond issuance had an initial offering of 60 billion rupees.
Among the bonds sold, a bond maturing on October 15, 2030 (LKB00730J158) was issued with a weighted average yield of 11.44 percent. Additionally, a bond maturing on March 15, 2035 (LKB02035C155) was sold at a weighted average yield of 11.88 percent.
The overall market subscription reached 31.227 billion rupees. On Friday, the sale included bonds maturing in both 2030 and 2035, totaling 60 billion rupees.
The settlement date for these transactions is set for July 1, 2026. (Colombo/Jul1/2026)
