Sri Lanka has successfully issued bonds worth 92.55 billion rupees for the years 2030 and 2032, according to recent information released by the public debt management office. However, there were no bids accepted for the 2037 bond during the auction.
Specifically, bonds maturing on May 15, 2030, identified as LKB01530E152, saw sales amounting to 44.95 billion rupees, with an average yield of 11.65 percent, out of an offered amount of 70 billion rupees. Additionally, bonds set to mature on December 15, 2032, labeled LKB00832L158, had sales totaling 47.59 billion rupees, yielding an average of 12.69 percent from an offered 60 billion rupees.
In contrast, the bond due on July 1, 2037, designated LKB01237G019, did not attract any bids, despite a total issue offering of 150 billion rupees.
