Sri Lanka’s cabinet has given the green light for the acquisition of 350 housing units from the Harbour View Residencies, a development by the Urban Development Authority (UDA), designated for police officers, according to Minister Nalinda Jayatissa.

“The Cabinet approved the proposal to purchase 350 housing units for the Sri Lanka Police and to have adequate parking facilities constructed by the UDA. This initiative aims to provide housing for officers serving in the police divisions in Colombo and its suburbs,” Jayatissa stated to reporters.

The UDA’s Harbour View Residencies project, located at Cyril C Perera Mawatha, Colombo 13, features a 14-floor complex with a total of 452 housing units. This development was initially intended to cater to both government and semi-government officers.
