Sri Lanka’s 99x Secures National Honors for Its Innovative Xians.ai Platform

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The Sri Lankan technology firm 99x has been honored with both Provincial and National Awards for Best Innovation in Internal Processes, Technology or Framework during the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards (SNIA) 2026 for its innovative platform, Xians.ai, which features an Agent Control Plane (ACP).

This open-source solution was developed to tackle a specific challenge faced by the company. Chatura De Silva, Chief AI Officer of 99x, remarked, “What started as a tool to enhance AI adoption has transformed into a strategic asset that increases the value we provide to our clients and improves our software development processes.”

He further emphasized the platform’s crucial role in integrating AI into their engineering workflows and supporting the transition to an AI-driven Development Lifecycle. “Receiving both the Provincial and National Awards at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards marks a significant achievement that highlights the innovation and effectiveness embodied in Xians.ai,” De Silva added.

99x aimed to create a unified platform that would offer governance, orchestration, monitoring, and scalability for AI-enabled systems. Xians.ai acts as the backbone for both internal operations and customer-oriented AI projects, allowing teams to automate mundane tasks, manage intelligent workflows, and expedite software delivery while ensuring robust control and visibility at the enterprise level.

The platform has also been instrumental in advancing the company’s overall AI strategy, positioning AI-enabled interactions as a key driver of new business development.
