Sri Lanka’s Asset Engineering Secures Rs791 Million Contract for Horton Plains Road Project

Sri Lanka’s cabinet has given the green light for a substantial contract worth 791.68 million (excluding taxes) to Asset Engineering (Pvt) Ltd for the construction of the Blackpool-Ambewela-Pattipola-Horton Plains road, as announced by Minister Nalinda Jayatissa.

The government invited tenders for the development of the B 512 road segment, specifically from the 5.2 km to the 12 km mark, with Asset Engineering emerging as the lowest and most qualified bidder among the four submissions received.

This road had suffered significant damage approximately ten months ago due to Cyclone Ditwah. (Colombo/Sep15/2026)
