FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The cabinet of Sri Lanka has given its endorsement to present the newly published anti-corruption regulations for 2026 to parliament for consideration. These regulations include requirements for digital asset declarations and specifically focus on officials deemed to be at high risk, as stated by Minister Nalinda Jayatissa.
Jayatissa informed the media, “The Cabinet has approved the proposal to present these regulations to Parliament for their approval. They were issued in Extraordinary Gazette Notifications Nos. 2482/03 and 2482/04 on March 30, 2026.”
These regulations have been established under Section 156 of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023. (Colombo/Jun9/2026)
