FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The National SME Forum 2026, known as Scale Up 2.0, aims to create a platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to tackle significant challenges that hinder their growth, according to the event organizers.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is set to assist SMEs in navigating market access, adapting to changing business demands, securing financing, and enhancing their capabilities for scaling operations.
“This forum will center on delivering solutions, fostering connections, and providing resources that empower SMEs to enhance their competitiveness, readiness for the market, and establish a foundation for sustainable growth,” the chamber stated.
Scheduled for August 11 at the Taj Samudra in Colombo, the event will gather policymakers, business leaders, financial institutions, and organizations dedicated to supporting businesses.
The forum will concentrate on three vital aspects critical to the growth of SMEs: establishing stronger market access pathways, enhancing competitiveness through adherence to standards and certifications, and facilitating the shift from mere survival to sustainable growth.
Attendees will learn how SMEs can penetrate new markets, collaborate with larger enterprises, and integrate into both local and global value chains.
The discussions will emphasize the necessity of meeting quality standards, acquiring certifications, and refining business processes to enhance credibility with clients and partners.
“As SMEs aspire to grow, the forum will also highlight the significance of bolstering investment readiness, refining business practices, and accessing appropriate financing options to support long-term development,” the chamber added.
Scale Up 2.0 will create avenues for SMEs to engage with corporations, financial institutions, and support organizations.
The B2B networking segment will enable participants to explore partnership opportunities, identify market potentials, and connect with possible sources of assistance, according to the chamber.
