FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The Colombo Stock Exchange in Sri Lanka experienced a stable trading session on Wednesday, with the main index showing a slight increase of 0.04 percent, according to data from the exchange’s website.
The All Share Price Index (ASPI) rose by 8.62 points, reaching a closing value of 22,385. In contrast, the S&P SL20 index saw a decline of 0.17 percent, losing 10.60 points to finish at 6,210.
The total turnover for the day amounted to 2.5 billion rupees.
Among the prominent gainers contributing positively to the ASPI were CT Holdings, which increased by 19 rupees to reach 550 rupees, Lion Brewery, which rose by 78 rupees to 1,801 rupees, and Hayleys, which gained 2.50 rupees, closing at 235.50 rupees.
