FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The Public Debt Management Office of Sri Lanka has successfully sold treasury bills amounting to 7,500 million rupees through a tap issuance, with average yields recorded at 7.92 percent and 8.23 percent. This transaction brings the total treasury bills sold for the week to 55.33 billion rupees.
The office reported that the 6-month treasury bills were sold at an average rate of 7.92 percent, while the 12-month bills were issued at an average yield of 8.23 percent. The total market subscription reached 7,500 million rupees.
Earlier in the week, on Wednesday (4), the debt office successfully raised 47.83 billion rupees through the issuance of 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month treasury bills.
The settlement date for these transactions is set for March 6. (Colombo/Mar6/2026)
