Additionally, the S&P SL20 index saw a decline of 0.96 percent, dropping 61.48 points to settle at 6,364.32.
Among the stocks, Ceylinco Holdings emerged as the top positive contributor to the All Share Price Index, with an increase of 3.12 percent, bringing its price to Rs. 3300.00. In contrast, John Keells Holdings was the largest negative contributor, experiencing a decrease of 2.31 percent to trade at Rs. 21.10.
The total turnover for the day amounted to 3.36 billion rupees, with capital goods contributing 1.075 billion rupees to this figure. In other news, Royal Ceramics announced an interim dividend of 1 rupee per share. The company’s stock was trading at 47.80 rupees, reflecting a 0.21 percent increase.
