According to FINANCIAL CHRONICLE, the telegraphic transfer exchange rate for the Sri Lankan rupee against the US dollar was recorded at 343.5000 for purchases and 352.5000 for sales, as reported by market dealers.
In the bond market, yields experienced an increase. A bond set to mature on December 15, 2029, was priced at 10.30/40 percent, rising from the previous rate of 10.30/45 percent. Meanwhile, a bond maturing on August 1, 2030, was quoted at 10.45/55 percent, an increase from 10.35/50 percent.
Additionally, a bond with a maturity date of June 15, 2034, saw its quote rise to 11.55/65 percent, up from 11.40/50 percent. Similarly, a bond maturing on August 15, 2036, was quoted at 11.55/75 percent, slightly higher than its previous rate of 11.55/70 percent.
