Sri Lankan Rupee Finishes at 337.00/30 Against the US Dollar as Bond Yields Remain Stable

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – On Monday, the Sri Lankan rupee settled at a rate of 337.00/30 against the US dollar in the spot market, marking a decline from the previous day’s rate of 335.50/336.25, according to market dealers. Meanwhile, bond yields remained unchanged.

In terms of telegraphic transfer rates, the Sri Lankan rupee was valued at 331.50 for buying and 340.50 for selling against the US dollar. For the euro, the selling rate was 379.5100, with a buying rate of 393.4270. The pound was priced at 440.8796 for buying and 454.9252 for selling.

A bond set to mature on August 1, 2030, closed at a yield range of 12.15/20 percent, up from the previous 12.05/20 percent. Meanwhile, a bond maturing on January 15, 2033, remained stable at 12.30/65 percent. Additionally, a bond maturing on March 15, 2035, saw an increase, closing at 12.80/13.10 percent, compared to the earlier 12.80/13.00 percent.
