Sri Lankan Rupee Strengthens to 334.50/60 Against the US Dollar, Bond Yields Remain Stable

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – On Tuesday, the Sri Lankan rupee strengthened, closing at a rate of 334.50/60 against the US dollar in the spot market. Meanwhile, bond yields remained stable compared to the previous session, despite experiencing a decline during the trading day, according to market participants.

The following are the quotations for various bonds: A bond set to mature on September 15, 2027, was priced at 10.00/20 percent. The bond maturing on October 15, 2028, had a yield of 10.45/50 percent. The bond due on December 15, 2029, was quoted at 10.80/90 percent. The bond maturing on August 1, 2030, was listed at 11.10/17 percent. Another bond maturing on October 15, 2030, was cited at 11.15/20 percent. The bond set to mature on February 1, 2031, had a yield of 11.25/28 percent. A bond maturing on January 15, 2033, was quoted at 11.70/85 percent. The bond due on October 15, 2034, was priced at 12.00/05 percent. A bond maturing on August 15, 2036, was quoted at 12.45/50 percent, and a bond set to mature on July 1, 2037, was listed at 12.45/55 percent.
