Established in 1993, Sriyani Dress Point has evolved from a single retail store into one of Sri Lanka’s leading fashion destinations, providing customers with a wide range of fashion apparel, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, and household items. Currently, the company operates eight successful showrooms in Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Negombo, and Ratnapura, along with two key outlets in Kandy, and has plans for further expansion. The organization is also set to launch a new showroom in Colombo later this year, enhancing its national presence and making fashion more accessible to additional Sri Lankan communities.

With over 1,000 employees, the company has transformed into a significant retail enterprise, supported by skilled teams in all areas. The next generation of leadership, including Directors Madushika Selvaraj, Dhinushika Selvaraj, and Shabrajith Selvaraj, is actively involved in directing key business areas and fostering further growth.

“Our Annual Staff Awards provide a platform to celebrate the exceptional dedication, care, and professionalism demonstrated by our team daily across our network. The success of Sriyani Dress Point is fundamentally rooted in the commitment of our people. We believe that as the company flourishes, those who grow alongside it should also advance in their careers,” stated Mariyapillai Selvaraj, Founder and Chairman.

He continued, “When we launched this business, it was managed solely by two individuals—myself and our current General Manager, Kanagaraj. Today, we take pride in having a family of over 1,000 employees, and with new showrooms on the horizon, we anticipate increasing our workforce by an additional 300 employees before our next Staff Awards ceremony. Witnessing our employees thrive alongside the business reassures us about the brand’s future and our role in bolstering the national economy. When individuals prosper, the nation benefits as well.”

The Chairman also highlighted that recognizing employees is fundamental to the company’s culture and long-term vision, fostering an environment where team members feel appreciated, inspired, and motivated to excel.

As Sriyani Dress Point continues to expand, the organization remains dedicated to investing in its workforce, uplifting communities, and creating a legacy of collective success that transcends the retail sector. Guided by the principle that business growth and employee welfare are intrinsically linked, the company strives to offer opportunities for its personnel to flourish and succeed alongside the brand, thereby contributing to stronger communities and a more prosperous nation.
