Diversified conglomerate Sunshine Holdings PLC (CSE: SUN) has announced the launch of its new Group-wide people management platform, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s digital transformation and governance journey.
The platform was unveiled at a special ceremony recently held in Colombo, attended by the Group’s senior leadership, including Group CEO Shyam Sathasivam, project teams, Sunshine employees, and technology partners. The initial rollout immediately supports over 1,700 employees in the Healthcare and Consumer sectors, with plans for further expansion across other business units in subsequent phases.
Designed to support Sunshine Holdings’ continued growth and operational scale, this new platform establishes a unified digital environment that strengthens workforce governance, enhances organizational visibility, and facilitates more informed decision-making throughout the Group.
“As Sunshine enters its next phase of growth, our ability to scale will depend on how effectively we engage, enable, and develop our people. This initiative represents a foundational investment in creating a more transparent, performance-focused organization, ensuring that individual growth and organizational progress move forward together. When we strengthen how our people connect their efforts to the Group’s ambitions, we strengthen the future of the entire organization,” commented Sunshine Holdings Group CEO, Shyam Sathasivam.
In its transformation journey, Sunshine Holdings selected Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) as the technology foundation for the platform, following a structured evaluation process. The cloud-based solution provides a secure and scalable environment supporting enterprise-wide workforce governance, advanced workforce analytics, and enhanced organizational planning capabilities.
“Sunshine Holdings is now at an important juncture, having grown in both scale and complexity. In such a context, it is crucial to ensure that our internal systems evolve in step with our people and our businesses. This platform strengthens the foundations that support our workforce, enabling more meaningful engagement, greater organizational consistency, and an employee experience that reflects the direction in which the Group is moving,” stated Sunshine Holdings Group Chief People and Corporate Communications Officer, Michelle Senanayake.
The initiative was implemented through close collaboration between the Group’s HR, digital, and business teams, along with its implementation partners, ensuring that global best practices were aligned with local operational needs and organizational culture.
“Sustainable transformation begins with ownership, collaboration, and a willingness to improve the way we work before introducing technology. This initiative reflects a collective commitment across teams to build a strong and disciplined digital foundation, one that will continue to support our people and enable future transformation across the Group,” said Sunshine Holdings Group Chief Digital Officer, Infiyaz Ali.
The new platform strengthens organizational governance, improves operational productivity, and enhances workforce engagement, reinforcing Sunshine Holdings’ long-term vision of building a digitally enabled, people-focused organization capable of supporting its next phase of growth.
