The SUN Awards 2026, the premier annual recognition program of the Group, took place recently with the theme “Reimagine the Future.” This event honored employees who significantly contributed to enhancing business performance, fostering collaboration, demonstrating leadership, and facilitating organizational transformation throughout the financial year 2025/26.
Employees from various core sectors of the Group, including healthcare, consumer goods, and agribusiness, gathered to celebrate individuals and teams that exhibited exceptional performance, teamwork, adaptability, and purpose during the past financial year. The chosen theme reflects Sunshine’s ongoing commitment to developing a future-ready organization that embraces innovation, enhances leadership skills, promotes agility, and generates lasting value for customers, stakeholders, and communities.
The awards ceremony featured Sunshine Holdings’ Group Chief Executive Officer, Shyam Sathasivam, along with members of the executive committee and senior leaders from different parts of the organization. A total of 169 awards were distributed throughout the evening, encompassing Merit Awards, Excellence Awards, and Chairman’s Awards, which acknowledged both individual achievements and team successes. These awards highlighted excellence across a range of fields, showcasing the diverse talents and skills that fuel Sunshine’s growth and accomplishments.
Additionally, the Group honored employees who reached significant service milestones by presenting 119 long-service awards to those who have dedicated between 10 and 25 years to the company. This recognition underscored Sunshine’s gratitude for the loyalty, consistency, and institutional knowledge that bolster the Group’s ongoing development.
In his address at the event, Shyam Sathasivam remarked, “The SUN Awards go beyond mere accomplishments; they honor the mindset, resilience, and dedication that propel Sunshine forward. As we navigate a swiftly evolving landscape, our success hinges on our capacity to innovate, collaborate, and challenge ourselves to think differently. ‘Reimagine the Future’ serves not only as a theme but also as a call to action for us all to collaboratively shape the next chapter of Sunshine. I extend my heartfelt thanks to each team member for their invaluable contributions to our shared success.”
The festivities included a special segment known as the Shine Awards, which recognized employees who made efforts to enhance the workplace environment, contributing to a more positive, pleasant, and supportive atmosphere. The evening was further enlivened by vibrant performances, including singing and dancing, which fostered an engaging experience for employees to celebrate together and reflect on the strong sense of community within the Sunshine Group.
In the last financial year, the Group achieved consolidated revenues of Rs. 65.9 billion for the year ending March 31, 2026 (FY26), marking an 11.2% year-on-year increase. This growth was driven by ongoing advancements in the Healthcare sector, increased momentum in Consumer goods, and a stronger performance from Agribusiness.
The SUN Awards 2025 celebrated the themes of people, purpose, and pride in performance, reaffirming Sunshine Holdings’ belief that its workforce is its most valuable asset.
