Suresh Shah Appointed as Head of Hatton National Bank, Sri Lanka

Suresh Kumar Shah is set to assume the role of Chairman at Sri Lanka’s Hatton National Bank, effective April 1, according to an announcement by the bank. Shah is presently serving as an independent/non-executive director on the bank’s board.

The current Chairman, Nihal Jayawardene, will be stepping down following the conclusion of the bank’s 57th annual general meeting, scheduled for March 31. This information was disclosed in a filing with the stock exchange.

Suresh Shah previously led the state-owned enterprises restructuring unit under the former government.
