T W C Capital (PVT) LTD, the financial advisory division of TWC Holdings, has successfully finalized two noteworthy development finance agreements. Acting as the Exclusive Financial Adviser, TWC Capital facilitated investments from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, amounting to a total of up to US$28 million in Sri Lanka’s renewable energy and agribusiness sectors.
TWC Capital provided exclusive advisory services to WindForce PLC, recognized as Sri Lanka’s foremost renewable energy firm, and New Anthoney’s Farms Group (NAF), one of the nation’s largest poultry producers. The long-term financing from the IFC is set to enhance investment, bolster exports, generate employment opportunities, and support growth in two sectors vital to the economic advancements of Sri Lanka.
Rasanja Perera, CEO of TWC Capital, remarked on the transactions, stating: “These agreements highlight that well-structured enterprises in Sri Lanka continue to draw high-quality international investments, even amid a challenging global financial landscape. Development finance institutions like the IFC demand meticulous transaction structuring, careful coordination among stakeholders, and disciplined execution. We take pride in having assisted both WindForce PLC and New Anthoney’s Farms Group in acquiring long-term capital that promises to yield enduring economic, environmental, and social benefits.”
Thilan Wijesinghe, Founder and Executive Chairman of TWC Holdings, further commented: “Attracting international institutional capital and foreign direct investment into strategic economic sectors has always been a core objective of TWC. With these two transactions, the total amount of offshore development finance and foreign direct investment mobilized by TWC for Sri Lanka over the past year has reached approximately US$125 million. We plan to maintain this momentum in 2026-27 by continuing to link high-quality businesses with international investors, development finance institutions, and multilateral agencies.”
The larger transaction involved an IFC commitment of up to US$18 million through a local currency financing facility aimed at supporting the development of Sri Lanka’s inaugural utility-scale 100MW solar power project by WindForce PLC. This project is anticipated to produce around 220 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually, enhance national energy security, gradually lower power costs, and establish a foundation for future investments in battery energy storage.
In a separate agreement, TWC Capital assisted New Anthoney’s Farms Group in obtaining US$10 million in IFC financing, which includes support from the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) Private Sector Window. This investment will facilitate the expansion of Sri Lanka’s sole fully antibiotic-free poultry producer, thereby increasing export capacities, fortifying national food security, improving rural livelihoods, generating over 900 new jobs, and benefiting at least 200 contract farming households nationwide.
These transactions further solidify TWC Capital’s reputation as one of Sri Lanka’s premier independent corporate finance advisors, possessing extensive expertise in cross-border capital raising, development finance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic financial advisory services for clients in Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, and the Middle East.
