Vietjet has announced an exclusive promotional offer for its new route connecting Colombo and Ho Chi Minh City, featuring one-way Eco fares starting at USD 90, which includes all applicable taxes and fees. Additionally, passengers will benefit from a complimentary 20kg checked baggage allowance. This new route marks Vietjet’s inaugural scheduled service linking Sri Lanka and Vietnam, set to commence on August 18, 2026.
The promotional period begins at 22:30 on July 20 and concludes at 21:30 on July 23, 2026, according to Sri Lanka’s local time. Tickets can be purchased through the airline’s website at www.vietjetair.com or via the “Vietjet Air” mobile application. Travelers opting for the 20kg checked baggage option during the booking process will receive this service at no additional cost, regardless of the selected ticket class. The promotional fares are valid for travel dates from August 18, 2026, to March 31, 2027, with certain blackout dates applicable.
This new service will operate thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flights will depart from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo at 23:00 and arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 05:55 the next day. Return flights are scheduled to leave Ho Chi Minh City at 18:15, arriving back in Colombo at 21:50 (all times indicated are local).
