Vietjet has announced that it is now accepting reservations for its new route between Colombo and Ho Chi Minh City, set to launch on August 18, 2026. This route marks the first direct air service between Sri Lanka and Vietnam, enhancing tourism, business, and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
In celebration of this new service, Vietjet is offering promotional Eco fares starting at just USD 90 for one-way trips (all-inclusive). Additionally, travelers who opt for Deluxe or SkyBoss tickets can benefit from a 20% discount on base fares, excluding taxes and fees. Tickets can be purchased through Vietjet’s official website, the “Vietjet Air” mobile application, ticket offices, and authorized travel agents.
The Colombo to Ho Chi Minh City route will feature three round-trip flights weekly, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. With an approximate flight duration of five hours, this service provides a quick and efficient connection between Sri Lanka’s main commercial center and a key city in Southeast Asia. Passengers flying from Colombo will also have seamless access to major cities and tourist destinations throughout the Asia-Pacific region via Vietjet’s extensive network.
