In a significant gesture of national solidarity, Cader Rahmathulla, CEO of SITC Campus, has contributed Rs. 1,000,000.00 to the ‘Rebuild Sri Lanka’ Fund. This fund supports relief and recovery efforts following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah. The cheque was personally handed over to Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat, highlighting a proactive commitment to national responsibility and leadership through action.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO Rahmathulla expressed that the contribution was motivated by both personal experience and a profound sense of duty toward the nation. Having witnessed the impact of Cyclone Ditwah on communities and livelihoods firsthand, he stressed that the donation was not merely a financial gesture, but a heartfelt response to the suffering faced by fellow Sri Lankans.

“This is a national responsibility,” he noted, emphasizing that institutions and leaders must step forward during crises, beyond their primary roles, to support collective recovery and resilience. The contribution is intended to assist the Government’s efforts in rebuilding infrastructure, providing relief to affected families, and restoring normalcy in impacted regions. It also reflects SITC Campus’s broader philosophy of social responsibility, extending its role beyond education into meaningful nation-building initiatives.

As a leading private higher-education institution in Sri Lanka, SITC Campus continues to emphasize values of leadership, compassion, and civic duty—reinforcing the belief that sustainable national progress is achieved when education, responsibility, and action come together. The donation stands as a symbol of hope, unity, and confidence in Sri Lanka’s path toward recovery.
