The Sri Lanka–Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated 35 years of promoting business between Sri Lanka and Canada during a reception held to welcome High Commissioner Isabelle Martin.
Over 180 members and invitees attended the event, underscoring the keen interest in enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and professional collaboration between the two nations, according to the chamber.
The event highlighted SLCBC’s efforts in Sri Lanka, emphasizing its role in developing business relationships, engaging in policy discussions, and fostering personal connections between the countries.
The SLCBC reiterated its commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation, supporting its members, and creating platforms for meaningful engagement in the future.
SLCBC President M H K M Hameez, along with the council’s leadership team, was present to commemorate the occasion.
