Sri Lanka Regulator Alerts Public to Unlicensed Deposit Activities by RD Media Earning Hub

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has issued a warning regarding unauthorized deposit-taking activities by RD Media Earning Hub (Pvt) Ltd. Following an investigation under Section 42 of the Finance Business Act No. 42 of 2011, it was determined that the company and its directors have been accepting deposits in violation of the act’s provisions.

The central bank has directed RD Media Earning Hub to cease accepting deposits from the public through means such as “Security Deposits,” “Investment Agreements,” or any other methods. Additionally, the company has been instructed to repay all remaining deposit liabilities. (Colombo/Jan17/2026)
