Sri Lanka Stock Market Gains Momentum in Midday Trading

FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – The Colombo Stock Exchange sustained its upward momentum during mid-day trading, following a positive start in the morning, according to data from the CSE.

The All Share Price Index increased by 0.04 percent, gaining 10.47 points to reach 23,812.53. Meanwhile, the S&P SL20 rose by 0.01 percent, or 0.50 points, standing at 6,615.22. The market turnover was recorded at 4.66 billion rupees.

In corporate developments, York Arcade Holdings PLC disclosed a 40 million rupee loan to its parent company, Lankem Ceylon PLC. The shares of York Arcade Holdings were trading down by 2.07 percent at 18.90 rupees.

Renuka Holdings released their quarterly report for December 2025, indicating an increase in profit from 9.70 million to 10.7 million rupees. Despite this positive financial performance, the stock was trading down by 7.67 percent at 57.80 rupees.
