The Cabinet of Ministers has sanctioned the acquisition of 75 motor graders intended for use in government development programs, following a National Competitive Bidding process.

This procurement received Cabinet approval during its meeting on October 21, 2025, after which bids were solicited. A total of five submissions were received and evaluated.

Acting on the recommendations from the High-Level Standing Procurement Committee, the Cabinet endorsed the proposal made by the President in his role as Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development. Consequently, the contract has been awarded to United Tractors & Equipment (Private) Limited.

The contract is valued at Rs. 1,424.25 million, excluding VAT.
